Congress Update

ESER Brussels 2020 postponed to September 2021. Same great location, same great programme!
Letter from the ESER 2020 Congress President
Vienna, May 13, 2020

Dear ESER Fellows, Members, Faculty Members and Congress participants,
Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As of now, the coronavirus pandemic is having a huge impact on both, our personal welfare and educational activities. Statements from public health authorities worldwide recommend public meetings such as workshops and congresses to be cancelled. In addition, with travel restrictions affecting attendance of both participants and industry attendees, we cannot guarantee the high scientific quality of our Annual Meeting in September.

It is with great regret that, after careful consideration, the ESER Board has decided to postpone the date of the ESER 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting to September 2021 in recognition of the growing health risks related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting will be held at the same location, at the University of Brussels and we look forward to a high standard of scientific content, teaching and interactivity. We anticipate that there will be an even greater interest in the congress in September 2021 and expect a record attendance at that time due to a renewed appetite for group learning and an even greater appreciation of the value of Emergency Radiology.

It goes without saying that this decision was not made lightly, but when we cannot fully guarantee the wellbeing of our attendees, industry partners and staff, we feel this is the right thing to do.

Yours sincerely,
Koenraad H. Nieboer
ESER 2020 Congress President
